Grammy's Whipped Cream Cinnamon Rolls

  1. Scald one cup of milk.
  2. Add 6 Tbsps shortening, 6 Tbsps sugar and 2 tsps salt.
  3. Dissolve 2 pkgs yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water.
  4. Cool to lukewarm and add 3 eggs and the yeast.
  5. Gradually beat in 5-1/2 cups flour.
  6. Use 1/2 cup of flour to knead and flour your board with.
  7. Let rise for 1 hour or until double in bulk.
  8. Divide dough in half and roll out on a floured surface to 1 foot square.
  9. Spread with softened butter and sprinkle with cinnamon mixture (1/2 cup sugar, 1 Tbsp cinnamon).
  10. Place in greased square pan thatis at least 2" deep.
  11. Let rise until double in bulk.
  12. Whip a pint of whipping cream, sugar to taste, add 1/2 tsp vanilla.
  13. Spread over rolls.

Makes delicious dinner rolls without the cinnamon and cream.
